Spiritweb is Returning…

This site is being rebuilt with a simple purpose: to preserve and restore the original Spiritweb.org publications for the present day.

The early internet held something we are in danger of losing. Spaces not created for clicks, speed or endless distraction, but for thought, spirituality and genunie exploration.

In the late 1990’s I stumbled on the website, spiritweb.org – It gave people access to ideas and voices that felt personal, searching and deeply spiritual. It introduced me to concepts such as spirituality, channellings and mindfulness. Not all of the publications were relevant to me, but a lot of them were and I learnt loads from the publications. It allowed me to reflect on them, and to take the learnings that resonated with me.

The website was created by a guy who I will forever be grateful to, René K. Müller, however in 2003 the website was discontinued. Bringing access to these publications back matters because we now live in a time of enormous technological power, but also growing fragmentation, noise and disconnection. As more of our life moves online, it becomes even more important to protect places that encourage refection rather than reaction, depth rather than speed and meaning rather than consumption. In a world of ever increasing disconnection, we need to relearn what it is to be human, and retain this as we enter this exciting world to massive techological improvments.

The creation of this website is not just about nostalgia, it is about preservation. If works like these are not actively cared for and made easily accessible, they can disappear entirely, along with all the learning and inspiration contained within them. Rebuilding spiritweb.org as the newspiritweb.org is the effort to keep the material alive, accesible and valued.
